#60 How to Recover from Spiritual Warfare

This week, SJ talks about how to recover from spiritual warfare following on from our previous podcast were we talk about Spiritual Warfare in your business.

Take a read of her notes:

Ok so last week I spoke on Spiritual Warfare on your business, how to recognize it and how it might be effecting you.

We had a great response from the podcast and some really great questions came out of it that we’ve been talking through in our FB Community which is really positive and I love that our members are eager to learn, grow and have courage to ask questions when they don’t understand things.

I did get asked 2 major questions thought, one, I kind of already knew was going to come up because God has already told me to do a challenge on it and second was a natural following from this previous podcast.

So one of the question was, “SJ, you keep telling us to get into God’s word, learn about stuff and ask God to show us truth. We get told all the time by Pastors to read our bible, but I don’t really know how to study or read my bible.” God told me a couple of weeks back to start thinking about doing a challenge for business owners, I just hadn’t got the topic yet. After being asked this a couple of times I knew that this was going to be our challenge theme.

So soon, we’re going to be starting a “6 Week Challenge on How to Study the Bible for Busy Women.” Because the first thing I hear from any woman’s mouth, usually is, I don’t have time to study my bible.

That to me is like saying, I don’t have time to put on my make up on, brush my teeth or get a shower. Somewhere in your week you find time to do this stuff (hopefully everyday) so why can’t you find time, once a week to get into God’s word and study.

As a business owner, you can’t afford not to spend time studying God’s word. Let me assure you, that God will bless you if you give your time to Him. This happens every time I open the Word and dedicate that time to God. It’s like I do that and the Holy Spirit will prompt another member to join or He will prompt something to happen that I’ve been needing to happen while I spend that time with Him.

As problems come up in your business, you need to know how to study the bible so you can find info about how to handle situations, how to keep your heart sweet on the Lord and how to keep doing business in a Godly, Kingdom focused way. I can tell you, as time goes on in your business, things are going to come up that are going to challenge you and you’re going to need to know how to handle them, or learn how to handle them.

We’re going to break this down, make it really simple and easy. I don’t have a family yet, but trust me if I can run CWIB, work four days a week, go the to gym on a regular basis, run a property investing business and make time for God. You can do it too. You’ll realize that it’s an investment of your time and amazing things will start to happen when you do it.

To sign up to the 6 week challenge and learn how to study so you can be a effective Kingdom ran business owner, sign up through the link that’s attached to this podcast blog post and we’ll let you know when we’re going to begin.

I love being a part of CWIB. As part of this community I have begun to realize that I’m not alone in this journey, that there are many like-minded women like me who have the call of God on their lives. CWIB provides a place for me to grow and develop my passion for God and for business with other women who have so much to share. This is the community I’ve been waiting for, praying for.

So question number 2 – How do I recover from spiritual warfare?

This can be applied to your business, family, home, illnesses. It’s adaptable and crucial to help you move forward.

So women, after I did last week’s podcast wrote in to let me know how God has opened their eyes and they’ve realized that they had been tampering with something’s that they shouldn’t have been.

Remember these podcasts or not to condemn you.  Jesus died for us so we no longer have condemnation, but are made to educate and make you aware.

It’s good that God has open your eyes to this stuff and the best thing you can do now is recognize it, name it for what it is, cut it off and get rid of it. We do that with Jesus’s help.

So when this weird stuff had happened in the community and we had dealt with the badness all I did was say a simple prayer to Jesus.

Remember, our God is a kind and patient God. He’s not going to punish you or make you feel bad. We all make mistakes and don’t get things perfect. That’s why we need Jesus.

This is what you can do to release yourself from it, in order to move on…

  1. Ask God to protect your family, home, health, finance and everything in your life. Psalm 91
  2. Forgive yourself for making the mistake, we all make them. Take responsibility for it but don’t pull yourself down with it. Forgive yourself so you can move on. God’s got you.
  3. Identify what it is new age or whatever that’s happening in your life. Romans 12:2
  4. Stop doing it or cut certain people away from your life who do, do it. If that’s what you need to do. Remember do it in a kind way and remember that they are only human too. John 15:2-6
  5. Ask Jesus to cut anything off from your life that shouldn’t been there and wash it with His blood. Revelations 12:11
  6. Ask the Holy Spirit to come into that space and fill it with nothing but Godliness, good health, joy, fruit of the spirit etc.

When I did this over our community and CWIB, I asked God to cut off anything that wasn’t of Him. To cut off anything of the new age and any badness that has crept in, I told it to flee in the name of Jesus where Jesus wants it to go and then ask Jesus to wash His blood over everything, I anointed my computer and laptop, house etc. with oil and claimed it as a Holy place and then ask the Holy Spirit to fill everything with His goodness.

One might call it a spiritual spring clean.

* Please note, if you’re unsure about how to do any of this or if you feel there is something in the air that you can’t quite handle, go to your church and ask if they will pray with you. Or message us and we will put you in contact with some people who can help. Remember, Jesus is our biggest healer.

Then let God do His thing and He will. I went back to look over some things the other day in our community and they had disappeared. Completely gone. This is not the first time God has done this.

Share example of when we launch CWIB.

This healing will come in God’s time, let Him take control, but don’t beat yourself up about the whole thing, our God is a big God and He loves you very much. He’s bringing this stuff to light because He wants to protect you and look after you.

If you happen to involve any friends in what you were doing, maybe just say a little prayer for them too, don’t feel guilty, and then just leave it to God to do the fighting.

Like I always so, take what we’ve spoken about to day and go study God’s word. Ask Him to show you what you need to learn and ask Him for wisdom.

If you’re eager to learn His word and how to study it, come and join us for the six week challenge. This is also for women who just need accountability to get back on track too so don’t feel like it’s only for beginners.

Founder Sarah-Jane Meeson was given a word to inspire women. Since then, Sarah-Jane dreamed about how she could inspire women and unite them together. She knew it was going to be for God and she knew she had a passion for business and just to see people thrive and be all that they can be: no matter what past they’ve had, no matter how much money or where they come from. It’s about them being the best person they can be for God and to help share their story of how God has worked through their life and business.

After chatting with a girlfriend and sitting on the idea for a while, God kept prompting her heart to bring this movement of women together. After some time, Sarah-Jane knew what she needed to do; she bit the bullet and now here it is. Christian Women in Business – a movement of Christian women pushing forward for God in their businesses … and it’s great!
