Community Conference 2018
We're uniting women from all over the country to be in one room at the same time to celebrate 1 year of CWIB.
Saturday 17th Feb 2018
This conference is for CWIB and for ladies of the general public.
It's Your Time To Be United With Your Sisterhood!
We want to create a space where you can come
and exponentially grow your community, teach you relationship building skills to apply to your business on the day, spend some time with God… and it’s all for a cause!
about the workshop
CWIB has been built purely from the relationships we build with our audience and members, relationships is a key business tool, something we are so passionate about (hence why we've built a community) and we want to pass on to you what has been the critical part to our success so far.
So we've invited a relationship expert to help you learn how to build meaningful business relationships with our audiences, customers and suppliers.
You'll take part in a full day workshop facilitated by Kerrie Phipps.
Kerrie is widely known as an engaging
speaker and author who inspires leaders and
entrepreneurs to connect with confidence.
+ Do Talk to Strangers - How to Connect with Anyone Anywhere (because this is super important being a business owner).
+ You Learn How To Build Strategic Business Relationships
+ How To Apply That To Your Business (on the day)
+ And Practice Using The Skills You've Learnt. (Don't worry, there wont be any roll play)
No matter what business you have and no matter what niche your business is in this workshop will help you with confidence to sell, help you with building strategic relationships and help you expand the world around you.
You will be able to apply these teachings to your in-person relationships, the marketing in your business and for your staff to ensure they build relationships that represent your business positively.
This will be dedicated time throughout the day where you can practise what you've learnt and make new friends with other like-minded business women.
In between sessions we recommend you go back to your hotel and pop your party dress on... It's party time!
We've invited the Founder of Team Challenge QLD Jo Hobbs to come and share her story of what it's like to found a God focused charity (the ups and the downs) and share the golden nuggets she's learnt along the way, this will be perfect if you're thinking about starting a charity or already have one. It's always a great opportunity to learn from leaders who have been there and done that.
Following Jo's conversation, we will have our fundraiser game, then you'll head out and enjoy a delicious dinner and socialise while we get things ready to party!!!!
Then it's time to mingle and enjoy the night as we sing happy first birthday to CWIB!
A Conference with a cause

About Teen Challenge Queensland
Teen Challenge QLD is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1971 to provide long-term residential treatment and rehabilitation services for young men aged 16-39 and women aged 16-35 who are struggling to overcome addiction and other life controlling issues such as, self-harm, eating disorders, depression, and homelessness.
Substance abuse is one of the most prevalent issues this generation faces. It has no socio-economic boundaries and most experts agree that addiction has a ripple effect, bringing discord not only into the home but society as well. The impact of substance abuse on our communities is both significant and complex, causing increase in homelessness, criminal activity, mental health issues and family breakdown.
Teen Challenge provides an environment where young people feel loved, accepted and cared for, and we are currently the only rehabilitation facility that offers residential help to teenagers as young as 16.
The Teen Challenge program aims to eliminate their self destructive habits by meeting the needs of the whole person; not only dealing with the addiction, but also rebuilding their self-image, work ethic, relationships and spiritual awareness. We provide young people with a unique and rare opportunity to rebuild their lives. We have a holistic approach to their recovery which includes working with a team of professionals consisting of a General Practitioner, Psychologists, Counsellors, Dieticians and Personal Trainers. Our Teen Challenge program has a proven track record, helping young people address key issues in their lives and to instill positive lifestyle values, employability skills, financial literacy and responsibility.
