God Is Standing With You

Through Him also we have (our) access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we (firmly and safely) stand. And let us rejoice and exalt in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. Romans 5:2

In our daily walk with Jesus, it seems odd to think of Jesus standing right next to us, as we go about the day’s tasks. We are so busy; we tend to just fly through the day non compass.

It’s only when we stand still and make time for Jesus, that we feel close enough to talk to Him. We tell him everything that is going on, and ask him, what we should do about this or that. Sometimes we may not even realise He is there, then something miraculous happens and we are amazed and humbled at the same time. For some of us, it’s a physical encounter, that we can’t explain, or it could be a message received through someone else.

Personally, I have had a few jolts over the years that were very physical and unexplainable. My purpose that I feel the Lord has placed on my heart is to help the homeless, women and children in need, and anywhere else the Lord will need some help with through my sewing and painting skills.

About twelve years ago, I was experiencing severe pain in my hands from my fingers to my elbows and it was stopping me from creating more products. I had been talking to the Lord, well more like pleading and saying things to Him like, ‘Lord, how am I going to help you if this pain in my hands and arms is so severe, and it feels like it’s getting worse’.

The pain was extreme and plagued me day and night. I was persevering rather than taking medication. I remember many nights where I would put both arms under my body so as my weight would somehow relieve the pain until I fell asleep. It had started to wake me up during the night and I decided it was time to go off to the doctors and get some x-rays done.  The result came back, and they said, there is nothing there that would be causing such pain.

One day, I was on my way to work listening to a cd from Joyce Meyer. She was talking about how we can talk to Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and treat them as our friends as we go about our daily walk.

I was working for the Family Court at the time, at the cashier’s desk. I walked in and it was early, so there was no one but me in that part of the building. I turned and peered into the foyer, and speaking I said, ‘Ok Holy Spirit let’s see who we can help today’.

Before I knew it, I had this sudden gust of wind surrounding me and it felt as though my feet left the ground. My arms went up in the air and I fell back into the chair behind me.  I looked at my arms from my fingertips to my elbows, and I could feel the blood under my skin rippling. I started to giggle, like a little schoolgirl and I had the biggest smile on my face for the rest of the day.  As I used the keyboard, my fingers felt like there were feathers underneath them. It was a very light and airy sensation.

Since that day I am pain free and oddly enough when I look back, I remember feeling very much at peace, humbled and cleansed at the same time.

So! As you go through your day, may I suggest that you smile and talk to Jesus, ask the Holy Spirit to help you with whatever it is that you need. Maybe it’s a physical healing, a financial need, or help for someone else. This beautiful Jesus that we have in our lives is listening and HE is standing right before you waiting to answer your prayers.

Lots of love to you beautiful ladies. Keep the faith and Jesus close to your heart!
